Kenner/Tonka Sportstars Acrylic Display Case
 
These Sportstars figures were made by Kenner / Tonka, who made the Starting Lineup series of toy figures in the USA. Starting Lineup figures were released annually in America, for most American sports from 1988 onwards, through to about 2001. See here for Starting Lineup cases
 
However, in light of the then upcoming 1990 World Cup, Kenner / Tonka tried to cash in by expanding their Starting Lineup range to football in Europe, under the Sportstars name (Britain, Germany, France, Netherlands) and Forza Campioni name in Italy. 
 
Please note that these cases do not fit the 1998 Pro Action cards released for the Mexican market nor the Argentine 1992 cards from the same licencee.
